Colored poster board Stapler Scissors Black construction paper Construction paper the color of poster board Elastic Glue Sweats or other clothing the same color as the poster board

Instructions: Cut the colored poster board to cover your child from his underarms to his knees. (You should be able to wrap it around your child, with room to spare for sweats underneath.) Do not make this costume too long, or your child won’t be able to walk. Note that you may have to cut out indentations at the arms, for a better fit. Cut an oval out of the construction paper. Glue it to the center of the poster board, right over the tummy. Cut out the letters CRAYOLA from black construction paper and glue them to the construction paper on the tummy. Use leftover poster board to make a cone-shaped hat. Make sure the top of the hat has a flat base. You should use a second strip at the base of the hat to form a crayon design. Attach a strip of elastic to each shoulder with safety pins, and staple the other end to the poster board. More Costume Ideas
