She’s Got Talent

Art as a subject is taught in most schools, often from the middle grades on up. Some schools also hold monthly art exhibits. Others schedule performances where your artistic daughter can read her poetry or show off her blossoming acting talent or the props she painted for the drama club. If your girl’s school is underfunded in the art department, check out the art center in your community. Research the best after-school programs for your creative daughter and her interests. The wonderful thing about having a daughter who is talented in arts and crafts is that she is never bored.

Very Crafty

Your arts and crafts-oriented girl can always find something enjoyable and useful to do. Just giving her a box of buttons, pieces of different colored ribbons, construction paper, and glue can get her started. Before long she will be able to:

Design and print greeting cards for the family. Update her old T-shirts with velvet cutouts and sparkles. Dash off a short story and illustrate it for the kindergarten class in her school.

To know that you are raising such a productive and self-sufficient girl who has a wealth of creative talent is a special joy.
